Governor Raymond D. Gary was a resident of Marshall County, growing up on a farm halfway between Madill, and Kingston, OK. Governor Gary was the fifteenth governor of the State of Oklahoma, and ushered in a wave of Civil Rights policies and progressive actions. He also led a campaign alerting the nation to Oklahoma’s vast reserves of natural resources.
